Aether — Smart Space OS

Designing the interface of future homes

The Overview

Aether is a next-generation smart space operating system that controls lighting, climate, security, and holographic displays through gesture and voice. Built for luxury futuristic residences.

The Challenge

Standard smart home interfaces are cluttered and fragmented. The challenge was to design a unified, ambient dashboard that blends seamlessly into the physical architecture of a space, minimizing screen time while maximizing spatial intelligence.

Design Process

We started with intensive user mapping of luxury smart home owners, followed by neomorphic & glassmorphic UI explorations. High-fidelity motion prototypes were built to define physical gesture mapping and transition timings.

Final Outputs

A fully functional WebGL-based interface system, physical gesture controls, and a complete neomorphic design system containing over 200 components.

Results & Impact

Aether was adopted by three luxury real estate developments in London and Singapore, leading to a 42% increase in buyer engagement during interactive walkthroughs.
